Alberton Property

Property in Alberton, situated in the Gauteng Province on the south east rand, is popular for buyers and investors alike.  The rates and taxes are relatively low with good municipal support structures and easy access to all major highways.

A new suburb in the area called Southdowns in which ‘Meyersig Lifestyle Estate’, the largest development of full title cluster homes in Alberton, has been developed.  These more affordable properties, with prices ranging between R750 000 and R1.1 million, are highly popular and are sold very quickly when marketed.

Alberton boasts many public and private schools as well as various pre-primary schools, either in the suburbs or in very close proximity to them.  Bedfordview is only 15 km’s from Alberton and has good private schools as well as the large shopping complex, Eastgate.  Besides Alberton City shopping centre, The Glen, which services the people of the east and south, is only 10 km from the area.

For keen sports men and women Alberton offers the well-known Reading Golf Club, a Virgin Active and various other health centres.  There is an indoor cricket, soccer, hockey and netball sports centre but should you prefer outdoor activities, there are spaces for that too.
